‘I Got To Be The Stupidest Man Alive’: Kevin Hart Describes The Bet That Put Him In A

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart declared himself “the stupidest man alive” after a recent bet with a friend left him in a wheelchair, at least temporarily unable to walk.

Hart explained in an Instagram video that he had made a bet with former NFL star Stevan Ridley — and his subsequent attempt to beat him in a 40-yard dash had ended poorly. “44 and sitting my a** down!!!!! I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!! What the f*** am I doing???? I blew my s***….I’m done. FML,” Hart captioned the video.

 

Hart began by saying that he had chosen to share the story because he knew people might see him out and about and he didn’t want anyone to worry.

“Welp … any time somebody starts by saying ‘welp’ — it’s bad. Ladies and gentleman, the age 40 is real. To all my men, women out there that are 40 years old and above, it’s not a game,” he said. “I’m in a wheelchair. Why? Well, because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff. Tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and then I was told to sit my a** down.”

Hart then joked that he had to post something before Ridley did, adding, “Me and Stevan got into a little debate. This debate was based off who’s faster. Those that know me know, I’m pretty fast. Stevan said, ‘Kevin, ain’t no way you’re gonna beat me.’ Stevan is an ex-NFL running back [who] played for the New England Patriots. Very good guy.”

The debate quickly escalated to a bet — and the results of the 40-yard dash that followed were unpleasant, to say the least. “Guys, I blew all my s***. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn — I don’t even know what that is, but I tore them. I tore those too. I can’t walk. Sit my a** down.”

Hart continued to poke fun at himself , adding, “What are we competing for, at this age? What am I doing? … Got to be the stupidest man alive.”

Ridley offered his condolences, according to a report published by Fox News Digital — but not without a quick jab at Hart. “I saw [Tom Brady] do it at your age, so I figured you had the juice, too, big bro,” he said.
