After getting behind by 18 points to the upstart Orlando Magic in Game 7 on Sunday, the Cleveland Cavaliers seemed to be done as a team that had any hopes of extending their season and advancing to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Even though the Cavaliers seemed to be dead on arrival on Sunday at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, the team was able to turn things around in the second half and erase the 18-point deficit in order to pull off an incredible comeback win against Paolo Banchero and company.

The main reason for the Cavaliers behind able to rally and pull off the comeback on Sunday was the play of superstar guard Donovan Mitchell, who put the team on his back and scored a game-high 39 points to secure the victory.

After the game, Mitchell’s star teammate Darius Garland talked about the veteran guard and what he saw from him in this first-round playoff series via the NBA’s Twitter account.

“He’s a winner, that’s all he talks about,” Garland said.

With the Cavaliers barely getting by the Magic in the first round of the postseason, the team will have an incredibly tough challenge ahead of them as they’ll take on Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics in the second round.

The Celtics were able to beat the Miami Heat in five games with relative ease in the first round and proved that they won’t be an easy out with the team’s sights set on winning another 18th NBA championship and raising another banner.
