Ever since the Dallas Mavericks acquired superstar guard Kyrie Irving in a blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets last season, the team hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations, even with fellow superstar Luka Doncic playing some of the best basketball of his NBA career.

The Mavericks have been up and down the standings in the Western Conference since the arrival of Irving, which has led some to believe that the new dynamic duo in Dallas might not work out as planned.

However, Dallas has started to turn it on as of late, winning six of their last 10 games and being 10 games above .500 as the NBA playoffs draw near.

Even though the Mavericks are 10 games above .500, the team is still in the Play-In Tournament picture rather than the playoffs, but the team did take a step forward on Sunday with an impressive win over the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

The reason the Mavericks were able to beat the defending champions on Sunday was Irving’s incredible game-winning shot as time expired in the fourth quarter, via Hoop Central.

Here are some fan reactions to Irving’s incredible left-handed game-winning shot against the Nuggets:

Although Irving hasn’t made a lot of headlines since joining the Mavericks last season, everyone seems to remember how talented he is and how lethal he can be when he has the ball in his hands with the game on the line.

As a result of this impressive left-handed game-winner, Irving is starting to get a lot of buzz as the most talented player to ever play the game again, and he has a strong case for this.
