Recently, J.J. McCarthy has been one of the most highly-discussed prospects in the days leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft.

This isn’t necessarily because McCarthy is viewed as the best quarterback in the class, but because his potential landing spot has many question marks surrounding it.

Some fans and analysts have tied him to the Minnesota Vikings, some to the Denver Broncos, and others have tried to pair him with the New England Patriots.

All of these unknowns are what make the NFL draft so enjoyable.

There might be a public sense of where players will end up, but ultimately, teams tend to keep their cards close to their chest.

While this might be the case, McCarthy might have tipped his hand, as evidenced by his recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, which was highlighted by UStadium on Twitter.

When asked about what team might draft him, McCarthy said, “I have somewhat of an idea, New York Giants, I’ve spent the most time with. They’re a phenomenal staff.”

The Giants have continued to emerge as a team that is said to take a quarterback in this year’s draft.

Daniel Jones hasn’t been the quarterback the team expected him to be, as he has underperformed expectations after signing a contract extension.

If the Giants do draft a quarterback like McCarthy, they will have a massive decision to make.

They could either part ways with Jones and try to get another team to add him to their roster, or they could let McCarthy sit behind him for a year or two, giving him time to adapt to the everyday life of an NFL athlete.
