Nick Wright Compares Lamar Jackson To 1 NBA Star

The Baltimore Ravens may have stamped their case as the best team in the NFL this year as they went on the road and dismantled the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day.

The Ravens beat the 49ers 33-19, but the final score wasn’t indicative of how lop-sided the game really was.

Baltimore has been on a roll the past couple of months, and in a matchup against another Super Bowl hopeful they thoroughly beat down San Francisco in every phase of the game.

Their defense smothered Brock Purdy who had his worst game as a pro, but Lamar Jackson continued to show poise and calmness in the presence of pressure.

Jackson threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 45 rushing yards on seven carries, a modest game from the former MVP.

Nick Wright believes Jackson will win another MVP award, but also compared him to NBA star James Harden because of their playoff failures via First Things First.

Jackson has yet to prove he can win at the highest levels in the NFL, similar to Harden who has yet to get back to the NBA Finals despite being part of multiple superteams.

Wright argues if the Ravens are unable to get past their first playoff game, then Jackson will be looked at a lot like Harden.

Harden’s postseason embarrassments are well-known in the basketball world and is often used as a benchmark when people bring up talented players who have yet to win anything.

Jackson doesn’t carry the same sort of reputation, though another early playoff exit might change the public’s perception of him.
