Rachel Nichols Says 1 NBA Player Has Some ‘Serious’ Decisions This Offseason

Yet again, the Los Angeles Clippers collapsed in the early rounds of the NBA playoffs after getting eliminated in six games in the first round by the Dallas Mavericks.

In the recent past, there was some sort of certainty that they would run it back the following season, but now, there is a real chance they will look different this fall when they report to training camp.

Star forward Paul George can turn down his player option to become a free agent this summer, and there are rumors that he may leave, especially since he did not sign an extension with the Clippers.

Rachel Nichols said on FS1’s “Undisputed” that George has a big decision to make — he’s originally from Southern California, but he hasn’t even come close to winning an NBA championship in 14 pro seasons.

George has always been one of the league’s better two-way stars, and he has made an impressive nine All-Star Games, six All-NBA teams, and four All-Defensive squads.

Even though the Clippers are often picked by pundits to reach the NBA Finals, if not win the world title, at some point almost every season, it is now hard to imagine them getting anywhere close to those lofty expectations.

George’s so-star in the frontcourt, Kawhi Leonard, is getting long in the tooth, and he is injury-prone to begin with, while star guard James Harden has a history of playing poorly in big playoff games.

The rumor is that the Philadelphia 76ers, who were also knocked out of the first round of this year’s playoffs, are the team that will end up snagging George in free agency.
