The Boston Celtics have one of the most stacked — if not the most stacked — starting lineup in the entire Association.

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis are all legitimate All-Star-caliber players, and some are even All-NBA-caliber.

Nonetheless, JJ Redick believes that one of their guards should get way more credit and recognition.

Recently, he took to Twitter to double down on his support for Derrick White, whom he had previously called a top-100 player.

Now, he believes he’s actually a top-50 player, and he might be right on point.

White has had some epic scoring outbursts since he joined the Celtics, and his shot-making ability has bailed them out multiple times throughout the course of the past couple of years.

On top of that, he’s a pesky defender who won’t hesitate to put his body on the line, take charges, and dive for every 50/50 or loose ball if need be.

White isn’t a superstar or an All-Star by any means, but you don’t need to have 12 superstars on your team to win; you need some players who are willing to do all the dirty work and play within their roles.

White has excelled in that regard during his entire career in the league, which is why he’s also become a fan favorite in Boston despite not making most of the headlines.

At least it’s nice to know that some of his colleagues do recognize his game, even if the mainstream media continues to ignore low-profile players like him.
