The Carolina Panthers are the worst team in the NFL this season with a 1-12 record, the third-worst scoring offense, and the second-worst scoring defense.

Nothing has gone right for Carolina this year, either, between the play of No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and the firing of head coach Frank Reich earlier this season.

So as the Panthers head into their final four-game stretch, their fans aren’t showing up for their team.

A picture taken by The Athletic’s David Newton showed a near-empty Bank of America Stadium before the kickoff of Sunday’s Week 15 match against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fans, unsurprisingly, aired their frustrations and made jokes on social media

Newton posted an update after kickoff which showed a few more fans than the previous photos.

Tickets for the game were selling for as low as 45 cents earlier this week and the lower level seats were going for less than $100.

But the Panthers don’t have much to play for this season other than pride.

They’re on their second six-game losing streak ahead of Week 15 and don’t have a first-round pick after they traded it to the Chicago Bears for the pick that turned into Young.

Panthers owner David Tepper hasn’t been able to elevate the team since he bought it.

Carolina has won just 30 games over that span and will be on their fourth coach by next season.

So because of all that, fans understandably aren’t coming out in droves to support a team that hasn’t been able to produce much success on the field.
