Graphic Shows How Seahawks Have Struggled Against 49ers Star
The Seattle Seahawks face the San Francisco 49ers in a pivotal matchup with NFC North and NFC playoff implications.
Seattle could be on the outside looking in with a loss, but a win could catapult them into contention.
However, the Seahawks haven’t been particularly good against the 49ers since quarterback Brock Purdy joined the team.
Purdy, who was the last pick of the 2022 draft before taking over for multiple injured 49er quarterbacks this past season, is undefeated against Seattle and has posted impressive stats in three contests.

Say what you want about Purdy as a player, but it’s hard to argue with those stats.
Not only is he 3-0 against the Seahawks, but Purdy is the reason why the 49ers win those games.
He’s tossed seven touchdowns to just one interception and averaged 8.8 yards per passing attempt.
The 49ers are also scoring an average of 31 points a game against the Seahawks.
San Francisco is inarguably one of the best teams in the NFL this season, and Purdy is a big reason why.
But while the 49ers look to continue to build on an impressive 2023 season, the Seahawks need to figure out what they’re doing with theirs.
Seattle has a shot at the NFC playoffs at 6-6, but only if they beat the 49ers.
The Seahawks went toe-to-toe with the Dallas Cowboys a week ago before losing, but were crushed by these same 49ers two weeks ago in a 31-13 blowout loss.
Seattle also lost to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11.
Beating Purdy could be the Seahawks’ ticket to the playoffs.
But history isn’t on their side over the past few years.
