The NFL trade deadline is today and many contending teams are looking to improve.

We have already seen a few significant moves, and the deals keep on coming.

The most recent deal is a blockbuster with an NFC team that needs a spark.

The San Francisco 49ers have lost three games in a row and just landed one of the top defensive players available.

According to Ian Rapoport, the 49ers are acquiring defensive end Chase Young from the Washington Commanders.

This was a shocking deal as the 49ers do not even need defensive line help.

But, the deal was too good for them to pass up.

According to reports, the 49ers gave up a third-round pick for Young.

It was clear the Commanders were looking to sell off some of their players.

Their team does not look to be competing for a playoff berth at any point in the near future.

At least they were able to pick up a draft pick for Young who was most likely going to leave in free agency at year’s end.

As for the 49ers, they have an aggressive front office that should be applauded.

Young has recorded 5.0 sacks this year in seven games.

He will step in opposite of Nick Bosa and become a serious problem for opposing offenses.

The 49ers are going all-in this year.

Despite their three-game skid they still have one of the best rosters in football.

This trade can pay off huge dividends for them in January and February.
