However, no matter what one thinks of him as a man, even his biggest critics have to admit he is an incredible basketball player.
He is a big-time scoring threat and a very good facilitator, but it is his phenomenal ball-handling skills that set him apart from comparable guards.

After a couple of frustrating seasons with the Brooklyn Nets alongside Kevin Durant, Irving wanted out, and he was sent to the Dallas Mavericks midway through this past season.
Many thought the Mavs had just made themselves into dark-horse contenders, but they instead failed to reach the play-in tournament.
The hope is that a full training camp for Irving with his new teammates, particularly fellow star Luka Doncic, will result in a very competitive Mavs team this coming season.
At age 31, the New Jersey native is still on top of his game, as he averaged 27.1 points on 49.4 percent shooting and 5.5 assists per game last season.
Yet there are questions about how he will fit with Doncic, given the fact that both are ball-dominant guards that aren’t very effective off the ball.
