Packers Reportedly Have A ‘Pretty Positive’ Feeling On Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers are beginning a new era after trading quarterback Aaron Rodgers earlier this offseason following a couple of years of discord with him.

Jordan Love is their new starter under center, and all eyes throughout the state of Wisconsin will be on him to see if he is worthy of being the next great QB of the storied franchise.

Some are skeptical that he will make it as a quality player, but Ian Rapoport reported that the Packers like what they’ve seen from him in training camp so far.

Love was the No. 26 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he has spent the last three seasons on the sideline watching Rodgers and waiting for his opportunity.

During that time, he has played in 10 games and thrown a grand total of 83 pass attempts while completing only 60.2 percent of them, not exactly a good sample size or anything that would suggest he’s bound for greatness.

However, there have been enough great quarterbacks that began their careers the way Love has.

The biggest problem for him is the fact that he will not have a ton of support around him.

All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams is long gone, as is Allen Lazard, who has developed into a solid WR2 and is now with Rodgers on the New York Jets.

Everyone will need to be patient with Love and give him some time to develop into whatever he will become while not saddling him with the expectation of becoming the next Rodgers or Brett Favre.
