WATCH: Jason Aldean Runs Off Stage After Suffering ‘Heat Stroke’

Country music star Jason Aldean ran off stage during a performance Saturday night after suffering a heat stroke, according to the venue.

Aldean was singing on stage at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford when he stepped back from the microphone for a brief moment, attempted to continue, and then turn and ran off the stage.

“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date,” the venue said in a statement. “We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance.”

“Please stay tuned to all social media channels for updates as they become available,” the venue added.

Aldean released a video on Twitter Sunday afternoon addressing the incident and thanking people for calling and checking in on him.

“I’m doing fine,” he said. “Just one of those things man. It was hot. I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show. And just, I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion. So here a lot of stuff going around heat stroke, all this stuff. I don’t think it was quite that serious. But it was, it was it was pretty intense last night at the show.”

“Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was,” he continued. “And I don’t know, something just kind of, I knew it was coming. I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could. And eventually it was just like, I knew it wasn’t going to happen. And I was trying to just get off stage to figure out what’s going on.”

He said that he would make up the show to the fans that showed up to the concert in Connecticut.
