Kirk Cousins is entering his sixth season with the Minnesota Vikings.

Cousins has been the subject of criticism since he arrived in Minnesota, as many claim that he’s not able to bring home the franchise’s first Super Bowl trophy.

Last season, however, Cousins had the fourth-highest amount of passing yards and threw the fifth-most touchdowns as well.

He did throw 14 interceptions, which was the second-most in the league.

While this as a standalone stat might be an indication that Cousins is a sub-par quarterback, there is another that tells a different story.

As the Heavy on Vikings Twitter page has recently pointed out, Cousins leads the league in quarterback hits over the past three seasons.

This is an indication that the Vikings’ offensive line has let him down, and he’s been under significant pressure.

This page also pointed out that Cousins was hit 12 times in their narrow playoff loss to the New York Giants.

Many fans of the team are ready for the Vikings to move on from Cousins.

Will their minds change after seeing this caveat to his 2022 season numbers, particularly in the area of interceptions?

Cousins is only tied to the Vikings for the 2023 season.

If he isn’t able to bring this team the success that they’ve been desperately searching for, it could be the beginning of the end of Cousins’ time in Minnesota.

These stats could lead the team to believe that they need to take a look at their offensive line rather than their quarterback.
