The New York Giants finished the 2022 NFL season with a 9-7-1 record, which was good enough for a playoff spot.

This was their first playoff appearance since 2016, and they netted their first playoff victory since 2011.

There is a growing belief within the organization that the Giants are in a great position to win over the next few years.

One of the reasons for their success in 2022 was the rise of Daniel Jones, who has recently been signed to a contract extension.

When asked about the 2023 campaign, Jones said, “We’re confident, and we know we can compete with anybody,” via the New York Post and the NFL.

The 2022 season was Jones’ statistical best, posting career-highs in passing yards and rushing yards, along with a career-low in interceptions.

Jones played well enough last year for the Giants to give him a contract extension, and will likely be their quarterback for the foreseeable future.

The Giants haven’t had a franchise cornerstone since the departure of Eli Manning.

If Jones can continuously elevate his play, he could be on his way to taking that role over.

However, he and the Giants face significant roadblocks in the form of the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys.

All three of these teams made the playoffs last year, making this one of the most difficult divisions across the league.

Jones appears confident in the Giants’ ability to beat any team, which includes their divisional opponents.

If the Giants can keep up with their division rivals, it could be an indication that they are ready to compete in the NFC.
