Brandon Miller Had An Ugly Performance On Wednesday
While most of the attention on this year’s rookie class in the NBA is focused on Victor Wembanyama and, to a lesser extent, Scoot Henderson, the Charlotte Hornets have a good one themselves in Brandon Miller.
The 6-foot-9 forward had a solid summer league debut in the California Classic on Monday with 18 points, although he also committed five turnovers.
But his second game on Wednesday was a rough one, as he had more fouls (eight) than points (six) in 28 minutes.

Miller did manage to dish off seven assists, but he had four turnovers.
Last season, as a member of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, he put up 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds a game while shooting 38.4 percent from 3-point range.
He is also thought to have lots of defensive potential as well, as he put up 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per contest in his lone season at Alabama.
If Miller ends up panning out and achieving an All-Star level of production and value in the NBA, it would give the Hornets a nice duo to build around with him and LaMelo Ball.
Ball posted 23.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 8.4 assists a game during the 2022-23 campaign, and he reportedly just agreed to a five-year contract extension that could be worth up to $260 million.
The Hornets have been a laughingstock for most of their existence, as they have made the playoffs only three times since their formation in 2004, and they haven’t been there since the 2015-16 season.
Last season, they won just 27 games and had the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference.
