Ohio University 2021 fall graduates include Perry County students | News


ATHENS – More than 1,800 students graduated with bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degrees from Ohio University for fall semester 2021, including several from Perry County.

• Christine Balint of Thornville graduated with a MA (organizational communication) from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication.

• Clayton Beard of Thornville graduated with a BSHCS majoring in restaurant, hotel, and tourism from Ohio University’s Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education .

• Draven Bowen of Shawnee graduated with a BSC majoring in media arts and studies – integrated media from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication .

• Rob Cahill of Thornville graduated with a BSN majoring in baccalaureate nursing from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions .

• Mackinley Dempsey of Thornville graduated with a AAS (associate in nursing) from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions.

• Alexis Ellis of New Lexington graduated with a BSED majoring in middle childhood language arts and Social Studies from Ohio University’s Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education.

• Caetana Epifano of Thornville graduated with a MHA (health administration) from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions.

• Brook Kussmaul of Crooksville graduated with a BTAS majoring in technical and applied studies from Ohio University’s University College.

• Erica Luker of Thornville graduated with a BSW majoring in social work from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions .

• Emily Maxwell of Roseville graduated with a BSH majoring in health services administration from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions.

• Christine Mills of Crooksville graduated with a BSN majoring in baccalaureate nursing from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions .

• Gage Morgan of New Lexington graduated with a BSM majoring in sport management from Ohio University’s College of Business.

• Kaylee Sabatino of Rushville graduated with a BBA majoring in finance business – pre–law from Ohio University’s College of Business.

• Grace Schmelzer of Rushville graduated with a BS majoring in mathematics – actuarial science from Ohio University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

• Hannah Schmelzer of Rushville graduated with a BBA majoring in marketing business analytics from Ohio University’s College of Business.

• Colton Smock of New Lexington graduated with a BA majoring in psychology and a BS in biological sciences from Ohio University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

The graduates represented many areas of the United States and an abundance of countries, including: Bangladesh, China, Greece and India.
