Store’s business hours left unknown to shoppers: Mayfield Police Blotter

Business check: SOM Center Road
A resident reported around 10 a.m. Jan. 5 that the outer doors at CVS were unlocked but the inner doors were locked with no employees in sight.
Officers contacted another CVS store and learned the location was closed due to staffing. They were advised to put up a sign because a lot of people were trying to enter the store.
Welfare check: Lander Road
A faculty member at Youngstown State University asked for a welfare check on a former employee who had not shown up for work or had been heard from since October.
Officers found her provided address was no good, but subsequently contacted the woman’s ex-husband, who confirmed he had spoken to her last week and she was OK.
Theft: North Commons Boulevard
A resident at a healthcare facility reported Jan. 7 that $300 cash was stolen from her wallet.
The business is conducting an internal investigation.
Disturbance: Beta Drive
Officers responded to the Hilton Garden Inn around 1:15 a.m. Jan. 11 for a report of two women fighting in the parking lot.
The two Cleveland women were located, and one was subsequently picked up from the location and the other went into the hotel. It was unclear what caused the disturbance but they both showed the same home address.
Suspicious person: Wilson Mills Road
A woman was reported to be loitering outside of True North Shell around 8 a.m. Jan. 11.
Officers spoke with an employee, who said the woman was given a cup of coffee and told she could remain on the property for a short while if she did not bother customers.
