Just last season, Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic earned Rookie of the Year but he was determined to only get better.

So far, he’s following through with that goal and is averaging 23.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game this season.

And NBACentral has pointed out that Banchero has gotten off to a great start in 2024.

He is scoring 34.3 points, 9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in January, with a 58.3% true shooting percentage.

This is Banchero’s biggest year yet and it’s no surprise his team is thriving.

The Magic have impressed just about everyone so far this season.

They are currently the fourth-best team in the East with a 21-15 record.

When they started the season strongly, some people assumed they’d eventually fall off and sink down in the Eastern Conference standings.

But that hasn’t been the case and the team has beaten some very tough opponents and has remained consistent.

As he has been since the start of his career, Banchero is the center of the Magic and is likely the future of the franchise too.

Because of his sensational number, there are many people calling for Banchero to earn his first All-Star appearance.

In the first fan returns for the upcoming game, Banchero earned 163,588 votes.

Will he continue to rack up more votes and end up representing his team next month?

More importantly, will the Magic keep impressing and accumulating strong wins?

Orlando hasn’t been in the playoffs since 2020 when they were eliminated in the first round.

In fact, they haven’t moved past the opening round since 2010.

But there are many people who believe that the power of Banchero and his teammates could be the key to greater success than the Magic have had in more than a decade.
