After playing poorly in his first two games of this season, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase appears to be back to his usual self.

He has the seventh-most receiving yards in the NFL with 656, and he is ready for this weekend’s big matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Chase said that if and when he scores a touchdown this Sunday, he will grab a television camera the way Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson did if Johnson will pay any fine Chase may receive as a result.

Johnson offered to do just that.

Johnson is considered the greatest wide receiver the Bengals ever had, as he earned six Pro Bowl appearances and two All-Pro First Team selections back in the 2000s.

But Chase, who is in his third pro season, could end up supplanting Johnson in the annals of franchise history.

He had 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns as a rookie, earning him the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and last year he put up 1,046 yards and nine touchdowns despite playing in just 12 games.

On Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, he caught 10 balls for 100 yards and one touchdown in a 31-17 victory.

The Bengals have a three-game winning streak after starting the year 1-3, and this weekend’s game versus Buffalo will be a rematch of last winter’s Divisional round playoff game in which they blew out Josh Allen and company, 27-10.

It will be an opportunity for both teams to prove that they have re-emerged as legitimate Super Bowl contenders after some uneven play so far this year.
