On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will officially get their NBA preseason underway, with Darvin Ham’s squad set to go head-to-head with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Ahead of this showdown with their division rivals, the Lakers went through training camp this week with many questions about the roster regarding which player will be named the fifth starter.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, and D’Angelo Russell have already been named starters, leaving that fifth spot open, and even though Ham says a decision has been made, he won’t make it public.

In the meantime, as the team prepares to take on the Warriors in the Bay Area tomorrow night, James and Davis were getting some three-pointers up after practice on Friday before the team departs for San Francisco via Jovan Buha of The Athletic and Hoop Central.

For the Lakers’ sake, hopefully, James was messing around when getting up these three-pointers after practice, as one of his shots hit the side of the backboard.

Last season, James and Davis really struggled from beyond the arc to the point that it became a problem, but the team was still able to defy the odds and reach the Western Conference Finals.

Despite getting swept in four games by the eventual NBA champion Denver Nuggets, the Lakers showed promise for the 2023-24 campaign, especially after making all the right moves this summer to keep this team competitive and a serious threat to dethrone Nikola Jokic and company.
