After winning it all during the 2021-22 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors got off to a rough start to the 2022-23 campaign, with Stephen Curry and company finding it incredibly tough to win games on the road for whatever reason.

The Warriors were one of the worst road teams in the league while also being one of the best at home, and Steve Kerr and his coaching staff couldn’t seem to figure out why that was the case, even though the team was ultimately able to make the NBA playoffs.

This year, Kerr wants the Warriors to get off to a much better start to the season, which might be that much more difficult with a new-look roster and not being able to start the year with Draymond Green on the floor due to an injury.

On Friday, ahead of the team’s first preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday, Kerr admitted that training camp is vital to the team’s success moving forward via Warriors on NBCS.

The biggest key for the Warriors moving forward will be trying to figure out how to implement veteran newcomer Chris Paul into their system and get the best out of what he’s got left in the tank at 38 years old.

Fortunately for Golden State, Paul has let it be known that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to win games in San Francisco, whether that’s being a starter or coming off the bench for the Warriors, which is obviously a step in the right direction, especially with Green on the mend.
