As one of the most demanding teams in the NBA, the Miami Heat aren’t wasting any time in getting their players in shape and ready for the 82-game grind of the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Even though the Heat failed to bring in stars Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday over the summer, as the team was linked to both players recently, Miami has gotten back to work while in training camp, with star Jimmy Butler already putting on a show against his teammates.

Butler, who is arguably one of the most dedicated and passionate players in the league today, doesn’t hold back while going through the motions in training camp, which he proves during these short clips by not giving up on a play against Bam Adebayo and drawing a charge, per Brady Hawk of Five Reasons Sports via Hoop Central.

With Eastern Conference heavyweights in the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics getting considerably better over the course of the NBA offseason due to multiple trades and signings being made, it’ll be interesting to see if the Heat can still hold their own in the conference and have a repeat performance of last year’s postseason run.

The pressure will be on for Butler and company this year, with this team needing to prove that making it to the NBA Finals last year as an eight seed was no fluke and that this squad can compete with the best of the best in the league.

Only time will tell if this roster filled with aging veterans is as advertised and still has the grit to battle against adversity in the East.
