Dwight Howard Shares Cryptic Message After Warriors Didn’t Sign Him

For a brief moment, it seemed like Dwight Howard might be returning to the NBA and signing with the Golden State Warriors.

The former champion worked out with the Warriors last week in hopes of securing a new contract.

But the team ultimately ended up passing on Howard, meaning his return to the league is currently on hold.

After that decision, Howard took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

He tweeted:

“Only as a WARRIOR can one withstand the path of knowledge. A WARRIOR cannot complain or regret anything. His life is an endless challenge. And challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges.”

You’ll note that Howard repeatedly capitalized the word “warrior” throughout his statement.

That is no coincidence.

However, it probably won’t result in the team changing their mind and deciding to bring him back.

Howard still has some options and there is still a chance that he finds a different NBA team to sign with before training camp starts in a few weeks.

But the Warriors may have been his biggest, best chance.

The big man last played in the league in 2022.

After that, the free agent wasn’t able to secure a new contract around the league.

He then made his way overseas and has been playing in Taiwan.

However, Howard has been publicly commenting on the state of the league and has made it clear that he’d gladly come back to play in the association.

But with so many options before them, teams haven’t been calling upon Howard’s services.

He is 37 years old and still in good health, although he isn’t as physically powerful as he once was.

Still, Howard might not be able to come back to the NBA.
