OG (also marketed as They Call Him OG) is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Sujeeth and produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi (in his Telugu debut) and Priyanka Arul Mohan in lead roles.

The film was officially announced in December 2022 and principal photography commenced on April 2023 in Mumbai. The musical score and soundtrack are composed by Thaman S, while the cinematography is handled by Ravi K. Chandran. The film was announced on 4 December 2022.[2] The film is produced by D. V. V. Danayya under DVV Entertainment.[3] The film is being made on a budget of ₹250 crore and Pawan Kalyan was reported to receive 100 crore (US$13 million) as remuneration.[1][4] The technical team of the film consists of cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, with music composer Thaman S and production designer A. S. Prakash.[5]

Casting[edit]

Priyanka Arul Mohan was cast as the female lead, while Emraan Hashmi was cast as the antagonist, thus marking his debut in Telugu cinema.[6][7] Arjun Das, Shriya Reddy, Harish Uthaman and Prakash Raj are cast in other supporting roles.[8]

Filming[edit]

Principal photography began on 15 April 2023 in Mumbai.[9] Kalyan joined the sets in same month.[10] The first schedule was wrapped up on 2 May.[11] Some scenes between Priyanka Mohan and Kalyan was shot in Pune.[12] The second schedule began on 18 May in Hyderabad.[13] The third schedule began on 4 June.[14] Emraan Hashmi joined the sets with this schedule.[15] This schedule was completed on 26 June.[16] The fourth schedule started on 11 July 2023.[17]

The film’s soundtrack is composed by Thaman S in his fourth collaboration with Pawan Kalyan after Vakeel Saab, Bheemla Nayak, and Bro.[18]
