Kawhi Leonard’s tenure with the Los Angeles Clippers has been a failure.

He’s never been healthy to finish the season, and it’s evident that his issues are chronic and more serious than we realize.

That’s why Stephen A. Smith believes Steve Ballmer and the organization should just force him to retire, as he’s never going to be healthy.

Stephen A. doubled down on his comments of Leonard being the worst possible superstar one could have on his team.

Regardless of the reasons behind his struggles, Leonard can’t seem to shake off those woes, and he’s even limping when he walks.

It’s a shame to see such a talented and impactful two-way player walk away like this, but it doesn’t seem like he has many more options.

He’s keeping the Clippers hostage with that huge contract, and there’s just no way they’ll be able to trade him or build a contender while he’s still on their books.

Of course, that’s not his fault, and we’re positive he would’ve been on the floor if he could, but they all have to face the fact that he’s not a dependable player.

It wouldn’t be the first time a star is forced to retire early because of his body.

Grant Hill could’ve been one of the greatest players ever, and the same goes for Brandon Roy.

Tracy McGrady also struggled with injuries, and don’t even get us started on Derrick Rose.

At least Leonard can go out as a two-time champion, which is more than most injury-prone stars got.
