The Chicago Bears are in a unique position to considerably upgrade their roster heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, with the struggling franchise possessing the No. 1 and No. 9 overall picks, which puts them in a position to get not one but two game-changing players that can help lead their franchise for many years to come.

As of right now, the consensus is that the Bears will select USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, which will give them a franchise player under center who many believe is a generational talent.

Along with almost certainly bringing in Williams at No. 1 overall, the Bears can land one of the best wide receivers in the draft with their second first-round pick, with this draft class being one of the most talented in recent memory at the position.

However, Adam Rank of NFL Network believes that if the Arizona Cardinals decide against bringing in Marvin Harrison Jr., a generational talent at wide receiver, at No. 4 overall, the Bears should try to make a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers for No. 5 overall in order to bring in the son of the Hall of Famer.

Although this move makes a lot of sense, the Chargers might also have their sights set on drafting a wide receiver and might not be willing to give up the opportunity to bring in Harrison to pair with superstar quarterback Justin Herbert if given the chance.

It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold in the upcoming draft once Williams is off the table, as there could be a flurry of trades with teams looking to move up to grab a top quarterback or wide receiver prospect.
