Tyreek Hill entered the 2023 NFL season with one goal in mind.

He wanted to break 2,000 receiving yards in a single season for the first time in NFL history.

While this seemed like a long shot to start the year, Hill and the Miami Dolphins came hot out of the gates, and it looked like there was a good chance he would blow this goal out of the water.

However, despite this strong start, Hill suffered a few injuries throughout the season that prevented him from reaching this milestone.

This might have discouraged some, but Hill seems more determined than ever to give this another try in 2024.

As Dolphins reporter David Furones noted, Hill posted a photo to his Instagram story with the caption, “2k loading.”

This indicates that Hill is determined to reach that mark in the 2024 season.

If he and Tua Tagovailoa are healthy, there is little reason to believe he cannot accomplish this goal.

Assuming he plays in all 17 of the Dolphins’ regular season games, Hill would need to average 117.64 yards per game to make this dream a reality.

With his ability to break off plays of 40+ yards at a moment’s notice, Hill can make this average happen with only a few receptions per game.

It will be interesting to see if Hill can achieve this goal and, when he gets close to it, if teams will put an extra special emphasis on him on defense, not wanting to be the team that allowed a player to eclipse 2,000 yards.
