Over the past few weeks, former NBA superstar Allen Iverson has been making the rounds on podcasts and different shows to talk about several different topics, including how his game would translate into today’s game.

In a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaq, Iverson said he would average 43 points per game in today’s game due to the lack of defense and physicality played in today’s NBA.

Although some scoffed at Iverson’s comments as it seemed like another retired player was trashing today’s game and lack of defense, the former Philadelphia 76ers superstar guard made some solid points, as he said his career-best in his prime was 33 points per game, and with all the changes, 10 more points per game would need to be added if he was playing today.

Interestingly enough, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst had a different take on Iverson as he claims the Hall of Famer’s inconsistency on the floor wouldn’t stand in today’s game.

Apparently, that didn’t sit well with former NBA star Jason Williams, who went off on Windhorst for being overweight and why should anyone listen to him via NBA Central.

“How can anybody say anything negative about Allen Iverson, of all people, or just anyone in general, with a neck like that?” Williams said.

Although this kind of talk and criticism from Williams doesn’t fly these days, it’s safe to say he isn’t the first who has felt this way about Windhorst and his takes on NBA players.

However, Williams is bound to get some backlash for fat-shaming as well as being out of touch and insensitive, even though he disagreed with Windhorst’s opinion.
