San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has been one of the key members of the team for a while but has been especially important this season.

He’s one of the best players at his position both as a blocker and as a pass-catcher and played a crucial role in the 49ers’ ascent to the top of the NFC.

Kittle’s eclecticism has always been on display during his tenure in the NFL, and he didn’t hold back as he entered Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California ahead of the divisional round match with the Green Bay Packers.

He wore what looks like a custom jacket and pant combo featuring “Halo” video game character Master Chief and cartoon character Calvin from “Calvin and Hobbes.”

Kittle will be one of the most important players on the offense alongside running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, and Brock Purdy under center as quarterback.

They’ll face a Packers defense that stopped the Dallas Cowboys early in Green Bay’s wild card win but eventually ceded 32 points in the blowout win.

Kittle’s ability to perform up to his normal level of play might not decide how the 49ers fare, but his presence makes him a threat to turn games completely around for a San Francisco team thinking about the Super Bowl.

They’ll have to win Saturday, though, and out-duel Jordan Love.
