Have You Ever thought about a Moon Journal?

You know the importance of journaling as it is a therapeutic way to express your feelings by writing everything you need to in an uncensored way. Therapists recommend that you journal for this reason daily. However, when it comes to journaling, you may think of getting a notebook and writing down everything on your mind to feel as if you have gotten anything stressing you off your chest. That type of journaling is one of many ways to do so. You can connect within yourself more profoundly, on a soul level, through moon journaling.

What is Moon Journaling?

Suppose you do not know what moon journaling is. In that case, you will be in for a treat because this type of journaling is a beautiful way to connect with yourself on a soul level by following your feelings, levels of motivation, and other emotions you are experiencing based on all of the moon phases. Moon journaling also helps you work with the Universe to be at your best and work at your best.

Like the moon phases, you go through different cycles, which you can compare to the moon cycles. If you are feeling down and doubtful and struggling with motivation, you can see a correlation between a moon phase and you feeling this way. Therefore, you will understand why you suddenly feel so low while in much better spirits the other day.

The moon in astrology represents your emotions and anything personal to you, such as your values, fears, and dreams. It can also represent your sleep cycles. It has everything to do with your mood, so since it is involved in any form of journaling, you will gain a more profound understanding of your moods when you are moon journaling. Like the moon phases keep evolving and changing, so does your mood. When getting the right moon journal, you can get any type of notebook. You can buy moon journals from Etsy or Amazon if you prefer to make it more official and don’t mind spending the money. Let’s delve into the meaning of each moon phase before discussing how you can use moon journaling to make the most of it.

What Are the Moon Phases?

If you look at all of the moon phases each month, there are eight. They are the New Moon and the Waxing Crescent Moon, the First Quarter Moon, the Waxing Gibbous Moon, the Full Moon, the Waning Gibbous Moon, the Third Quarter Moon, and the Waning Crescent Moon. Some moon journal experts say it is ideal to focus on the four main moon phases: the New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon, and Last Quarter because they impact your moods and sleeping cycles the most. However, each of the eight moon phases does impact you on some level. It is entirely up to you to journal the moon during each moon phase or the primary four phases. Let’s now discuss each moon phase in detail, how they affect you on an emotional level, and how they affect your sleep.

The New Moon

The New Moon is the beginning of a lunar cycle, and you will not see the moon as it is conjunct with the sun, which makes it the darkest phase. The gravitational pull of the New Moon affects you in a way where you will desire to create new beginnings, as it is a great opportunity to manifest anything. You can set the intention to accomplish any goal you have in mind during this phase, whether it is a long-term or short-term goal, and it can be as simple as setting the intention to create better habits. You want to write that in your journal during the New Moon. The next is the Waxing Crescent Moon.

The Waxing Crescent Moon

With the Waxing Crescent Moon, you see some illumination of the moon happening, and it appears as a crescent-like sliver, and you will see it several days after the New Moon. Once you have set your intentions with the New Moon, this is the time to do more envisioning with the manifestations you want to see turn into reality and thank the Universe in advance for them. Write in your journal the steps you plan to make your manifestation materialize during this phase. Write down affirmations that are true to you to help you keep manifesting them. Then, you will get ready to journal for when the First Quarter Moon comes.

The First Quarter Moon

The First Quarter Moon comes a few days after the Waxing Crescent Moon, approximately a week after the New Moon. The moon is around 90 degrees to the sun, and half of the moon is lit up on the right side. During this time, your manifestations are beginning to show up, as this is a time when you will feel energized and excited.

Write down in your journal how your manifestations are beginning to take place and how you feel about them. Are you excited, scared, frustrated, or happy about what is starting to show up? Note it. And this is the time to write down more about other action steps to help it manifest quicker or more straightforwardly. The next phase is the Waxing Gibbous Moon.

The Waxing Gibbous Moon

The Waxing Gibbous Moon happens a few days after the First Quarter Moon, and about three-quarters of the moon is illuminated as it is nearing the Full Moon. This phase marks…
