The Kansas City Chiefs are going through a rough patch right now.

You know that a team is struggling when you see players who are usually cool and relaxed lose their temper.

That was the case with superstar TE Travis Kelce during their Christmas Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, as he was spotted throwing his helmet on the sidelines.

Notably, Travis discussed the incident with his brother Jason during the “New Heights” podcast, and he admitted that it just wasn’t a good way to cope with that.

He was thankful for Andy Reid and his teammates trying to cover for him and having his back, but as a leader of the team, that’s not a positive way to change momentum (via BBQ Chiefs on Twitter).

He’s not the only Chief that has gone through it this season, with Patrick Mahomes also losing his cool after a loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Competitors often get caught in the fire and the heat of the moment, and the Chiefs have been used to being on the winning side of those games more often than not, so it’s only normal to see that they struggle to cope with this much frustration.

The worst part is that Mahomes and Kelce have been as good as usual, but the rest of the supporting cast has been lacking.

This is a team sport, and everybody needs to do their part.

They’ve clearly missed Eric Bieniemy, and while they still have a chance to right the course of the ship in the playoffs, it’ll be easier said than done.
