Kawhi Leonard Shares His Thoughts On James Harden’s Arrival
When the Los Angeles Clippers traded for James Harden, a significant amount of attention was on Russell Westbrook.
This is the third team that Harden and Westbrook have been teammates on, and many were curious about the potential dynamic between the two.
While the attention was focused on the Harden-Westbrook pairing, not many people talked about what this trade meant for Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
According to Leonard via Legion Hoops, when he heard the news, he said “I’m ready to see him play in a Clippers jersey.”
Kawhi on the James Harden trade:
“Once it went down I was in bed at the time. I guess, excited. He’s one of the best NBA players to step on the floor… I’m ready to see him play in a Clippers jersey.”

The Clippers have made it to the playoffs in four of the past five seasons, but they have not made it to the NBA Finals in that span.
Their only appearance in the Western Conference Finals was in the 2020-2021 season, losing 4-2 to the Phoenix Suns.
With the amount of postseason experience that they have found over the past five years, the Clippers need a serious spark.
Harden could be an energizing factor for this team, provided he can gel and develop chemistry with his new teammates.
Having four former All-Stars on the same team could yield positive results if they can get on the same page.
However, if these players cannot set their egos aside for the common good, the Clippers could be in for another early playoff exit.
It is currently undetermined when Harden will make his debut in LA.
Whenever it does happen, the world will be watching, waiting to see what this conglomeration of stars can accomplish on the floor.
