In the AFC, it has been generally believed that Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen are the top three quarterbacks.

On the next tier down, or perhaps half a tier down, are men such as Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, and Tua Tagovailoa, all of whom are very capable and could possibly enter the top tier at any time.

But of the three, only one of them — Jackson — has won a regular-season MVP, and so far this season, he has looked somewhat revitalized after resolving the contract standoff that had hung over him and his Baltimore Ravens last season.

Per Bobby Trosset, Dan Orlovsky raved about Jackson’s abilities, saying that his throwing ability allows him to “do anything’ with the football, especially now that he has a little more offensive talent around him.

Orlovsky also said the 6-2 Ravens are one of five teams that are “the cream of the crop” in the AFC.

So far on the season, Jackson has completed 70.5 percent of his pass attempts and has thrown for 1,767 yards, nine touchdown passes, and just three interceptions.

His 101.0 passer rating is the highest since his MVP campaign in 2019, and he has the longest completed pass in the NFL so far this season at 80 yards.

Last season, Baltimore was frightfully weak at the wide receiver position, but this year, they have rookie Zay Flowers, who has put up 461 yards in eight games.

While Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t been very productive numbers-wise, he has given them a nice option in certain situations, and of course, tight end Mark Andrews continues to put up very good numbers, as he has scored six touchdowns already.
