Marshawn Lynch Makes Surprising Admission About Russell Wilson

Since being traded to the Denver Broncos, Russell Wilson has looked like a completely different quarterback.

Wilson was a superstar with the Seattle Seahawks and cemented his legacy there when he led them to a Super Bowl championship, but that has been almost the complete opposite during his time with Broncos.

The former Seahawk managed to lead Denver to a comeback win in Week 4 against the lowly Chicago Bears, but it’s clear that he is no longer the player he once was.

Even the hiring of Sean Payton hasn’t done much to dispel that notion considering that Wilson and the Broncos remain at the bottom of the AFC West standings.

There has been a lot of discourse surrounding Wilson since forcing his way out of Seattle and it feels like his former teammates are coming out to shed even more light on things.

For example, Marshawn Lynch knew there was some tension between Pete Carroll and Wilson but he also admitted that he hasn’t been in contact with the quarterback since their playing days via Club Shay Shay.

“Russ was just a QB for me… I don’t have his number,” Lynch revealed.

Lynch said that while he respects Wilson as a player and a teammate, he said that he has no relationship with him and doesn’t even have his number.

It’s a bit shocking to hear that someone as lovable as Lynch doesn’t speak to Wilson, though fans can understand why given their personalities and circumstances.

Regardless, Wilson’s got bigger things to worry about as he and Denver are already staring down another lost season.
