The New England Patriots dominated the NFL during the Tom Brady era.

They were seemingly a lock to make the playoffs each year, and always had a chance to win the Super Bowl with him on the field.

While they had long-standing success under Brady, this franchise has struggled in his absence.

Fingers have been pointed at several individuals within the organization, including head coach, Bill Belichick.

Many pundits have wondered if Belichick’s greatness as a coach was just due to Brady and if he can win without him.

In a recent segment of the “Carton Show,” Craig Carton believed that Belichick’s “career ends after this year.”

The Patriots currently hold a 1-3 record, tied for last place in the AFC East.

Unless they can quickly turn things around, a playoff berth for the Patriots seems unlikely.

Regarding the Patriots’ situation, Carton said, “If you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.”

This conversation is not unique to Carton and his team, as the public seems to be quickly turning on Belichick and the Patriots as well.

Mac Jones has not been the quarterback that many anticipated he would be, causing a lackluster offensive output.

Belichick has been said to be a mastermind with his teams, making something out of nothing.

If they keep losing games, the organization could be forced to make some changes, which could end with Belichick losing his job.

For an organization that is used to winning Super Bowls and making playoffs, their current trajectory is heading south.
