On Monday, Media Day in the NBA took place for many of the league’s teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers, who didn’t have superstar guard James Harden in attendance.

This is no surprise, as Harden has made it clear that he wants to be traded after opting into the final year of his contract with the team and publicly bashing Daryl Morey.

Although Harden hasn’t been traded, nor do any trade talks seem to be close, especially when it comes to his desired destination of the Los Angeles Clippers, the one-time NBA MVP may be on the verge of making things quite uncomfortable for the franchise.

According to Jared Greenberg of NBA TV, Harden is expected to show up to 76ers training camp, with the primary goal being to make things “painful” for the franchise moving forward, presumably in an effort to get traded quickly, via Legion Hoops.

Clearly, Harden has an axe to grind and isn’t happy about not being traded after months of issuing the trade request to the team’s front office.

However, suppose Harden is intent on making life miserable for the 76ers.

In that case, he’s not considering how things will look to teams around the league, especially after he’s done this act multiple times over the past few years.

If he makes a spectacle of himself in Philadelphia, the amount of interested teams could go down to zero because who wants to bring in a high-priced superstar with one year left on his deal with a massive ego and an attitude problem?

Harden doesn’t seem to realize he’s hurting his situation rather than helping it.
