The start of the NFL season is less than one week away.

Every team still has hopes that they will have a successful season.

This is also the time of the year when many people point out their sleeper teams.

One popular team that everyone thinks could have a big year is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former NFL star Dez Bryant is picking the Steelers as his sleeper team this season.

There is a lot to like about the Steelers for this season.

They have a great head coach and quarterback Kenny Pickett is entering his second NFL season.

Pickett has been showing a newfound confidence as evidenced in his preseason performances.

The Steelers also have a nice set of skilled players around Pickett.

Diontae Johnson and George Pickens are one of the most underrated wide receiver duos in football.

Najee Harris is also a good running back who can take a large workload if necessary.

But the one reason the Steelers are competitive every year is due to their defense.

The Steelers are always strong on defense no matter what personnel they have.

Mike Tomlin has never coached a team to worse than a .500 record.

That should not change this season.

Having to navigate through the AFC will be no easy task.

But it should not surprise anyone if the Steelers are one of the top teams in the conference at the end of the year.
