Nick Wright Won’t Change His Mind On The Jets This Season

The New York Jets have been the talk of the NFL ever since the team acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers during the offseason.

The addition of Rodgers instantly gave this team some credibility and addressed the biggest problem on the field for New York, with the quarterback position being shaky under Zach Wilson and Mike White.

Along with bringing in Rodgers, the Jets already have a formidable defense and an offense stacked with talent, especially after signing four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook.

Although the Jets seemed to have made all the right moves this summer, Nick Wright of FOX Sports still isn’t buying the hype coming out of the Big Apple, via “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd.

It seems as though Wright isn’t convinced that Rodgers is still an elite quarterback and can make the change to the incredibly tough AFC East division and have success, especially coming off the worst season of his career.

That’s a valid point, as it remains unclear how much Rodgers may have left in the tank and if he can still get back to his MVP-caliber form that everyone is used to seeing from his dominant days under center for the Packers.

However, Rodgers has better weapons in New York and an elite defense, helping him maintain leads, so there is some give and take here with this situation.

The only real question mark is the offensive line and whether it can protect the quarterback, who is pushing 40.
