The New York Jets were able to finally get a look at superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in uniform and on the field for the storied franchise over the weekend as he made his debut during the preseason finale against the New York Giants.

Rodgers only played in two series for the Jets against the Giants, but he did show some flashes of brilliance on the football field, as he connected with star wide receiver Garrett Wilson on more than one occasion, including a 14-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Although it was a short sample size, Rodgers looked good in his debut and seems already to have some solid chemistry with Wilson, who may quickly become his favorite target in the passing game in New York.

Despite the solid showing by Rodgers and Wilson, Joy Taylor of FS1 is not impressed, as she is unwilling to overreact to what happens in a preseason game, via “Speak” on FS1.

Taylor does have a point in the fact that nothing can really be taken from a preseason game, especially when the Giants aren’t even playing their starters in the game.

There have been many question marks about the Jets as the start of the 2023 NFL season draws near, with some doubting whether the offensive line will hold up against elite defenses in the NFL like the Dallas Cowboys or Philadelphia Eagles.

Obviously, that remains to be seen, as that offensive line will be put to the test many times over the course of the regular season, and it may ultimately determine how far this new-look Jets team goes in 2023.
