Maxx Crosby Has Big Reaction To Josh Jacobs News

For the Las Vegas Raiders, the biggest remaining question was what they were going to do about Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs spent most of the offseason away from the team as he waited for a long-term contract.

After leading the league in rushing, Jacobs felt he deserved a deal that reflected his performance, though the Raiders continued the league-wide trend of refusing to commit long-term money to a running back.

Like Jacobs, Saquon Barkley and Tony Pollard were also seeking new deals from their teams but the two eventually settled on one-year deals.

Although Jacobs’ holdout continued into training camp, reports surfaced that the organization was expecting him to return prior to Week 1.

That turned out to be true as Jacobs eventually agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, prompting reactions from teammates like Maxx Crosby who was fired up about the news via his Twitter account.

Crosby’s reaction is probably how most Raiders fans felt after the news broke as Jacobs is one of the best players at his position.

So far, Las Vegas has been giving the bulk of the starting reps to Zamir White but with Jacobs returning he will assume his natural role as the leader of the backfield.

Aside from Crosby, Josh McDaniels and the rest of the offense must be ecstatic as they have a core part of the system back in place.

The Silver and Black should be happy to have Jacobs on the team again and it’ll be exciting to see him back on the field.
