Baseball is a game that touches the lives of every person associated with it, especially fans.

Fans identify with their favorite teams and players and enjoy watching them play the game.

On Monday, Polo Ascencio, the Spanish radio broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals, had an interesting experience.

Ascencio was on a flight to Dallas from St. Louis and noticed a young girl sitting in front of him wearing Cardinals gear.

When the flight landed, Ascencio approached the girl’s mother and told her he worked for the team, while also asking if he could give the girl some gifts.

The girl’s mother was delighted for her daughter to receive these gifts and told Ascencio that her brother actually plays for the Cardinals.

As it turns out, her brother is top prospect and shortstop Masyn Winn.

Ascencio shared this heartwarming story on Twitter.

It’s a small world, and sometimes interactions like this can take place when those involved in them least expect it.

Sure enough, the mother of the young girl was Winn’s sister and was delighted to see her daughter, Winn’s niece, receive some cool gifts from Ascencio.

Ascencio said that he gave the girl a hat and a bobblehead.

It’s certainly a small world, but baseball has a way of touching people’s lives.

The girl was lucky enough to meet Ascencio and interact with somebody associated with her uncle’s team.

Now, she and her mother will have a heartwarming story to share with Winn.
