During training camps in the NFL, there’s one rule that everyone must abide by in order to prevent injuries to the most important position on the field.

That rule is not hitting the quarterback because usually the team’s success is dictated by how well the leader under center plays, and keeping that player as healthy as possible throughout training camp and during the season is the ultimate goal outside of winning games and eventually lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

It appears that the Dallas Cowboys are having some trouble in that regard, with veteran quarterback Dak Prescott getting hit more than once during the team’s training camp, which further fuels rumors of his teammates not respecting him.

According to Cowboys writer Patrik Walker, star linebacker Micah Parsons ignored the red shirt Prescott was wearing and hit his quarterback, which head coach Mike McCarthy was not happy about.

Earlier this week, Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs went at Prescott by shouting some profanities at the face of the Dallas franchise, which was surprising as that doesn’t usually happen in the NFL.

This sparked rumors that Prescott’s teammates have lost respect for him for whatever reason, which is obviously a major concern for Dallas if that turns out to be true, as it will be incredibly difficult to win football games in a locker room environment like that.

However, this could also be nothing but a team filled with motivated players that know something special is brewing in Dallas and can’t wait to get the season started in order to go at opponents rather than their teammates.

Only time will tell if there is an internal issue for the Cowboys or if it’s nothing but noise in Dallas as usual.
