Last season, the New York Giants were able to turn around their franchise after years of disappointment in the post-Eli Manning era, as it was a change in leadership on the sideline that ultimately proved to be the difference for this talented football team.

Head coach Brian Daboll was a game-changer for the Giants right away, as he was able to motivate his players and get the best out of them during the 2022 NFL season.

Ultimately, the season ended for the Giants during the NFL playoffs when they were completely outmatched by the division rival Philadelphia Eagles, but the season was a success regardless, with a potentially bright future ahead in the Daboll era.

Unfortunately, star running back Saquon Barkley is currently unhappy with his situation in New York, as he has become one of the many star backs in the league that hasn’t been given a long-term deal or at least not the one he wants.

Barkley recently took to Twitter to call the latest report of a contract offer made by the Giants a blatant lie, as he quote-tweeted a tweet from ML Football about an offer of $13 million per season.

Much like the situation with Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders, things are getting ugly between the Giants and Barkley, as he could look to sit out the start of the season if a new deal of his liking isn’t agreed to.

This is bad news for the Giants, with Barkley coming off arguably his best season yet with the team, but New York doesn’t seem willing to pay the star’s asking price, leaving the future very much uncertain in the Big Apple.
