For years, people have debated Tua Tagovailoa’s chances of leading the Miami Dolphins to success.

It was kind of shocking to see the team bench Ryan Fitzpatrick in the midst of a remarkable season to turn to their unproven rookie, and the early returns weren’t exactly encouraging.

But the team has stuck with him through thick and thin and despite multiple rumors, he finally showed glimpses of greatness last season.

Moreover, Tua seems to have the unwavering support of his wide receiver corps, constantly getting praise from Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Recently, the latter lauded his ability to place the football in spots where the player can catch it and then do some more damage after the catch, praising his accuracy as well, via ProFootballTalk.

Waddle knows Tua quite well from their time together with the Alabama Crimson Tide, and it didn’t take long before that connection also paid off at the professional level.

As soon as he was traded to the Dolphins, Hill made the rounds for calling Tua “the most accurate quarterback he had ever played with,” and while some people took it as an uncalled-for shot at Patrick Mahomes, Hill doubled down on that take by praising his new QB.

Hopefully, the Dolphins will do a much better job at keeping him safe next season, as he even considered retirement after suffering multiple concussions in almost no time.

Barring injury, he should only get better in his second year playing for offensive guru Mike McDaniel as his head coach.
