Baseball is often at the mercy of unpredictable weather.

Such was the case on Thursday after a hail storm in Denver, which caused the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies to be delayed.

The hail came down quickly on Wednesday night on the diamond at Coors Field.

But it wasn’t contained to just the field.

In fact, the hail was so intense that it ended up stretching into the Rockies dugout and all the way up to the door of the clubhouse.

On Twitter, Rockies reporter Kelsey Wingert-Linch posted a video which shows just how intense the hail was and how far it stretched into the Rockies dugout.

This is certainly some unprecedented weather that took place in Denver.

The hail was quite intense and ended up making it all the way to the door of the Rockies clubhouse.

Fortunately, the grounds crew at Coors Field was able to clean everything out before the first pitch of the game.

The game was briefly delayed, but not for long.

Soon, the hail was cleared from the field of play and the Rockies dugout, and the game ended up taking place.

The Dodgers ultimately won the contest, blowing out their NL West rivals and winning by a final score of 14-3.

The hail was also quite deep.

As shown in the video, the hail was as high up as the bench in the Rockies dugout, leaving no leg room for players not in the game.

Baseball often finds itself in conflict with unpredictable weather, and last night was a perfect example of such.
