New Panthers RB Is Ready For More Opportunities After Eagles Tenure
The Carolina Panthers were much better than expected last season, all things considered, at least after parting ways with Matt Rhule.
And now that they’ve hired Frank Reich and got their QB for the future in Bryce Young, they’ve also added plenty of talent on both sides of the field, perhaps headlined by the addition of star RB Miles Sanders.
Sanders left the Philadelphia Eagles’ RB committee and will be touted with the tough task of filling in for Christian McCaffrey, but he’s thrilled and looking forward to the opportunity to be the focal point of their offense going forward.
The talented RB took a shot at his former team for not using him enough during the Super Bowl, a decision that most likely led to his exit from the City of Brotherly Love:
“Last game of the season? For all of the marbles? Everybody can answer that question,” Sanders said. “If they put themselves in my shoes, would they be happy? I don’t want to make headlines, (but) if it does, I don’t care.”

He’s struggled with some injuries throughout the course of his career, but he’s also shown an impressive ability to pile up big numbers and yards after the contact, and he faces little to no opposition for touches in Carolina.
The Panthers know that the NFC South division is up for grabs now that Tom Brady is no longer playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they should be much improved this season.
They’ve made it clear that they won’t rush Young into the action and that they plan to take things slowly with their prized rookie, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see them giving Sanders as many touches as he can handle, at least during the first half of the campaign.
