The Golden State Warriors have officially kept their title defense alive, with Stephen Curry putting on a show in Game 7 of the first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry scored a history-making 50 points in the series’ final game with the Kings and led his team to a series-clinching win on the road in Sacramento.

This performance by Curry not only extended the Warriors’ title defense during this postseason but also turned many heads and opinions about the legacy of the Golden State superstar.

In a recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, NBA legend Reggie Miller made a bold statement claiming that he thinks Curry has had a more significant impact on the game of basketball than arguably the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan.

It’s incredible in professional sports these days that one game and one performance can completely change a narrative and the legacy of a player and his peers or superstars that have come before him.

If the Warriors had lost against the Kings, the narrative would be that the Warriors’ era of dominance is over, and Sacramento is the new team to beat in Northern California.

However, the Warriors came out on top with Curry making history with the highest-scoring performance in a Game 7, which puts him in a different category.

Even though what Curry has been able to accomplish is remarkable, it seems a bit early to have him mentioned in the same breath as Jordan, but that’s the era we live in these days, with narrative changing from day to day and game to game.
