Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Green Bay Packers had reached a breaking point.

It seemed like their divorce had been years in the making, and it was only a matter of time before they went their separate ways.

Rodgers and the front office didn’t see eye to eye, and it doesn’t seem like they actually tried to make amends or make things work in the offseason.

Notably, the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback had a somewhat interesting choice of words when asked whether someone from the Packers had reached out to him.

Per Rodgers, he doesn’t have a good cell phone reception at his home, so people who want to get in touch with him will actually have to FaceTime him, and he claims no one from the Packers FaceTimed him.

Well, thank goodness for his WiFi provider.

Otherwise, how would the outside world get in touch with him?

All jokes aside, this is the kind of response and attitude that may have exasperated the Packers’ front office.

Rodgers is a smart guy and one that often knows how to spin the narrative.

He was brutally honest about feeling disrespected when the Packers took Jordan Love in the first round, so he could’ve kept it straight by just letting everybody know that he didn’t want to speak with anyone from the team, and that’s it.

So, for the sake of his relationship with his new team, let’s just hope his new place in New York has good reception, or maybe they’ll just have to FaceTime him first just to make sure.
