YouTube Bans LifeSite News’ Channel Amid Holy Week

Anti-free speech Big Tech platform YouTube banned LifeSite News’ account, supposedly for “hate speech,” only two years after banning LifeSite’s original channel. YouTube is definitely sending a disturbing message with its censorship this Holy Week.

LifeSite co-founder John-Henry Westen told MRC Free Speech America that his show’s YouTube channel was initially issued a strike and subsequently locked for two weeks, the second strike in fewer than 30 days. YouTube has since banned the channel altogether, Westen added. When clicking on the John-Henry Westen channel now, the only thing that appears is the message, “This account has been terminated for a violation of YouTube’s Terms of Service.”

LifeSite News said the original censorship occurred because of its video critiquing LGBTQ ideology in the Oscar-winning movie Everything, Everywhere, All at Once (2022). LifeSite’s main YouTube channel was banned in 2021, the outlet noted. So much for being allowed to voice Christian beliefs during Holy Week.

YouTube’s new CEO Neal Mohan has openly voiced support for censorship and anti-free speech policies.

YouTube did not respond to a request for comment by the publication of this piece.

Conservatives are under attack. Contact YouTube here and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on so-called hate speech and an equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored, contact us using CensorTrack’s contact form, and help us hold Big Tech accountable.
